I used it today. I used shaving cream for my underarms and knees but used some shampoo on the rest of my legs with a venus razor. I was really bored. Don't ask why I tried it lmao. It worked really well as my usually dry skin is so soft and smooth. I suppose it depends on the type of shampoo (this one was patene pro v strong and shiny shampoo). Has anyone else tried it and is it a good idea in the long term?Has anyone else used shampoo instead of shaving cream?
i find that womens shaving cream can be expensive, i just use whatever is in my shower. shampoo, conditioner, soap or body wash. anything that can form a protective layer between the blade and your skin will work. and i also find that your skin will smell better for longer with shampoo and that sort of thing.
and oh pa-lease. every girl does it. lolHas anyone else used shampoo instead of shaving cream?
I've done this plenty of times. I tend to run out of body wash (I usually use this) fairly quickly, so I just use my Suave shampoo instead. No negative outcomes to date.
no but i have used conditioner and it works great.
well as a man i have had to use soap instead of cream , and it was not nice and over a period of time , i would have started getting a rash i think.....the shaving cream sooths the skin as well..!!
Haven't used shampoo but I've used sunblock with a little bit of water. It works, too!
yeah i have, super silky legs!!! dont do it all the time thou. Conditioner is good for soft skin, not delicate parts mind lol
yuppers all the time casill run out of shaving gel n jus use da shampoo
I ALWAYS use shampoo, i've neva used shaving cream. Shampoo is cheaper .. plus you already have it in your house lol. As long as the shampoo is THICK its great to use
I've never used shaving cream, I use just plain bath soap and it works just fine. Why would shampoo have any long term effects besides wasting a lot of money? You use it on your head don't you? Anything that will lubricate the skin is fine to use so that the razor blade slides easily over the skin without sticking to it.
No
No, but I tried conditioner once. It didn't turn very soapy.
Conditioner is also really good :)
nope
I usually use conditioner - I never use a shaving cream!
I've used conditioner before and it had the same affect that the shampoo had for you. Try it soemtime.
Not a bad idea! I usually use soap, shaving cream makes me itch... I'll try shampoo, thanks for the tip!
Sadly its the only use for shampoo i have , and it does work a treat , i shave my napper at least once a fortnight and have never had any skin problems or irritation . i would give it a go for a few weeks to see , if theirs no problems , youl be a happy shampoo shaver for many a year xxxx
I always do and it's great! The razors seem to last longer too because the rinse out a lot easier and don't get clogged up with soap.
Shampoo, shower gel soap, whatever if i am only doing my underarms but i use an epilator on my legs and other bits...
