I would just like to know if there's a shampoo and conditioner, and even a cream/gel that works the best for curly hair, that isn't expensive. something that i can find in my local salon.
I wash my hair at night, and in the morning my hair is curly as can be. but as the day progresses, it starts to get frizzy and flat. it fustrates me so much. so something that takes the frizz away would be nice.
Thank you very much. :DWhats the best kind of shampoo or cream/gel for curly hair?
Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:
*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find ratings by region here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons
*Don't shampoo every day.
*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.
*Never use a brush, only a comb, or better yet fingers, when wet.
*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair
*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types
*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or tshirts instead.
*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.
*Don't touch your hair while it鈥檚 drying.
For specific products for your hair type you might want to explore the forums at:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products. So that鈥檚 really useful.
Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. My fav gel is LA Looks sport look and underneath I like L'oreal out of bed instant texturizer (it actually helps smooth and de-frizz) which comes in a black tub. For conditioners try suave naturals, or aubrey organics honeysuckle at Wild Oats is really good.Whats the best kind of shampoo or cream/gel for curly hair?
I'd suggest Sunsilk's captivating curls collection. Not only is it at a reasonable price, but the conditioners tame the frizz and gives you a nice healthy shine. The scrunching mousse from this collection gives you nice soft curls where as the gel %26amp; cream twist gives you all day protection. I have long super thick hair and when I use these products my hair is lighter more managable without the frizz and my natural spiral curls are more defined and have more bounce !
matrix instacure.
it's amazing
mine cost about 18 dollars at the salon, but it's well worth it.
when you wake up in the morning all you have to do is spray it on your hair like hairspray and it takes away all static and frizz and leaves your hair light and naturally curly.
I have curly hair, and i use pantene curly defined shampoo/conditioner. also john freida works very nice too.
